In 2024 we were asked to write a Conservation Statement for this extraordinary site on the Norfolk Cambridge border.  Deep in the brutalized intensively farmed landscape of the drained fens, it is a tiny fragment of permanent pasture, flooded each winter creating a wintering zone for thousands of migrants.  Its resonance in a time of climate change and biodiversity collapse is extraordinary.
